Oude Schapenkaas from Texel gives your Dutch cheese selection a distinctive accent. This is an aged farmhouse cheese made from raw sheep’s milk. Serve it as a cheese in its own right at a drinks gathering, or taste it alongside a cheese made from a different type of milk to discover the difference for yourself. At Nassen, you can always taste Oude Schapenkaas before choosing. We cut our cheeses fresh daily in the shop at Huidenstraat 23H. It makes a lovely piece to enjoy at home, a distinctive part of a cheese hamper or a tasty souvenir from Amsterdam. If you are taking it on a trip, ask whether vacuum packing is suitable for this cheese and your destination.
